Evie Koop Sawatzky (Social Media, Marketing, and Branding Strategist) is a strategic leader with experience, expertise, and successes as a professional performer, director, manager, educator, collaborator, entrepreneur, and planner. Her passions include classical music, theatre, arts management, non-profit organizations, and tourism/events. As a Storyteller, she is the driving force behind our firm’s expansion into social media strategy & management.
An entrepreneur since 1997 when she opened her first dance studio, she has taught dance, drama, and voice for over 25 years (Briercrest College, Doris Sitter School of Dance, RuBarb School of Performing Arts, Sawatzky Studios), sat on many non-profit boards (Saskatchewan Association of Theatre Professionals – Chair, Moose Jaw Downtown Committee (Vice President), Association of Creative Industries of Saskatchewan), and has directed, produced, conducted, or choreographed over 50 productions (Globe Theatre, RuBarb Productions Inc, Briercrest College).
Evie is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Management (2023) from Harvard University. She has completed a Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management and Digital Strategies (2022), the CORe program (2020) with Harvard Business School Online, and is Hootsuite certified. As a member of the South Sask Association of Fundraising Professionals, she is studying to write the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive Exam) in 2022. She loves fundraising and planning gala events that tell your story and help you connect with your donors. She was awarded the CBC Future 40 under 40 (2013), Discover Moose Jaw’s Top 40 under 40 (2014), and a Canadian Arts & Business Award (2013).
An award-winning photographer, Evie paints, reads, writes, and teaches music when she is not studying or assisting clients.
